Bike to Work Day 2008

Bike to Work Day 2008 Logo

More than 5,200 cyclists in the San Diego region celebrated Bike to Work Day 2008 on Friday, May 16, 2008!

A record 49 pit stops throughout the region hosted by local area employers and organizations provided participants a resting spot with free snacks and refreshments. Riders commuting to work on Bike to Work Day also were able to ride free on the Trolley, San Diego Transit buses, and NCTD BEEZE Express buses with their bikes.

Thank you to San Diego County Credit Union for once again championing Bike to Work Day as the main corporate sponsor and to all the volunteers who got in gear for Bike to Work Day 2008!

Biking to work is not only a great way to enjoy biking on a regular basis, it also helps you reduce stress, save money, and be more productive on the job. Whether you’re a veteran bike commuter looking for the latest information or a beginner trying to get off to a safe start, RideLink has the tools you need.

The most important part of biking to work is being prepared. Visit our Biking Resources page to find more information, programs, and organizations that will get you ready for the ride to work.
