Metropolitan Transit System (MTS)
The MTS service area covers 3240 square miles and includes the cities of San Diego, Chula Vista, Imperial Beach, La Mesa, Lemon Grove, National City, Poway, and Santee, as well as the unincorporated communities in east San Diego County. MTS runs three light rail Trolley lines and an extensive Express and Local bus system. More information is available on their Web site at www.sdmts.com.

The Blue, Orange, and Green lines serve 53 stations and 53.5 total miles.
Express & Local Bus
North County Transit District (NCTD)
The NCTD geographical service area covers 1,020 square miles of north San Diego County and includes the unincorporated communities of Fallbrook and Ramona, as well as the cities of Oceanside, Encinitas, Solana Beach, Del Mar, Carlsbad, Vista, San Marcos, and Escondido. NCTD runs two rail lines and one bus system: the COASTER, SPRINTER, and BREEZE. More information is available on their Web site at www.gonctd.com.
COASTER
The COASTER rail line connects north San Diego County with downtown San Diego six days a week via stations in Oceanside, Carlsbad, Solana Beach, Sorrento Valley, and Old Town.
SPRINTER
The SPRINTER rail line runs 22 miles along the Highway 78 corridor transporting passengers to work, school, shopping centers and other activities via one of its 15 stations.
BREEZE Bus
NCTD's BREEZE buses stop at or near major regional attractions and have stops at many of north San Diego County's beaches.
Together, NCTD and MTS provide rides to over 90 million passengers annually!
